Firstly I apologise for the double posting, I posted in a reply by mistake.

I bought this rug in Thailand last week and was told it was hand knotted Kashmir silk. I wouldn't have a clue and am hoping someone can shed some light?

It has the same pattern front and back
It changes colour when you move it
The tassels don't look attached, though I am not sure
It easily folds up to fit inside a suit case

Kasmiri(colours and style typical) silk on cotton would be nice to see otherside!

I posted photos of both sides but it didn't work for some reason. Will try again now. Do you think this is hand knotted or machine? And what do u think it is worth?
