Hi,

I ahve just joined the forum & am seeking some guidance.

I have 2 questions about a rug on ebay that I am interested in. (see link below)

1) Is this a handknotted silk Qum from the 70s, as the seller says?

2) I saw from his [revious transactions that he sold exactly the same rug for USD1300 just last month. Is it possible to have rug twins that are handknotted, or is this a clear indication this is machine made?

This rug is not older than 5 - 10 years. If it sold for 1300$ seller bought it himself since the rugs value is very high. If you would buy a rug like this in Iran today you would have to pay a little fortune.
