We inherited this rug from my husbands family. It was purchased in Odessa, Ukraine in the early 1970s. My father in law said it is from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It is big, 9 x 12 and wool. Is it machine made? Is it from Tashkent? What do you think it is worth?

Hello,

I think this is a machine-made rug. As best I can tell from your pictures, the wefts run the wrong way for a handmade rug,and there is no fringe, as there would be on a handmade rug. I don't know anything about what value it might have, sorry.
