Yes I can confirm this is made by a machine.
Machine made rugs are made on a broad loom and are made from side to side, unlike hand made rugs which are made from fringe to fringe.
I'm sure if you ran your finger nail, side to side of the knot channels of the reverse, it would feel more uniform than if you were to run it fringe to fringe.
Another point of interest for machine made rugs would be how uniform/correct the weave is. When a handmade rug is woven, it takes on a personal character within the weave structure which even with todays technology can not be duplicated via machines.
