Hello everyone, real nice site you have here. Never was interested in rugs until I met my partner and now I cant get enough. Spent a few hours looking through your site last night and I do appreciate all the work you have done here.

OK, I went to a charity event and put a bid on a silent auction for what they called a Turkish rug, 12 x 9, big rug, I didnt think I would win it but I did, I was just wanting to know what kind of rug is this. A friend of mine suggested I get it professionally appraised.

This was stapled on the rug:




Hope someone could help me, if it valued under the price I paid, well then charity deserves the money.

Any help would be appreciated, just wanted to know if this is hand knotted or machine made to determine if I should go ahead with an appraisal.
