My husband and I recently bought a fully furnished old house. It was built in 1836 and has a rug in the living room that I would like to find out the value of. I have looked online everywhere and asked around but can't get anywhere with my searching. The rug is, what I think is either Oriental or Persian, has red/burgundy, tan, greens and golds in it. It is 16'x12' and has a tag on the back that says "all wool, made in France, RN16713". I don't know what the RN number is or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And if you have no information personally, maybe you know someone who would or even where I should look next. Thanks so much.

Do you have more photographs of a larger area of this carpet?

Unfortunately, at the moment I do not. It's rolled up in my living room, and I don't have help moving furniture to unroll it today. I might be able to post more pictures later this evening.

Here's a picture of about a third of the rug. It's too large for me to get it all in one shot and still show detail. I also updated the original post with the new photo.

It is machine made and not handmade. Will not be more than $100 on a fleamarket / garagesale.
