Looks nice... the larger rug (ideal size 8.5 x 6.5m) is for a reading room in a law office so would need to handle a lot of traffic and wear so wool would probably be better. The size can't be too far out either as it's replacing a rug which is already in place (actually larger, they want to go a bit smaller but not too small). The price also limits the number - they're willing to pay a lot of money but for a rug this size it's still restrictive.

The other person is looking for a silk 4.5m x 4.5m (the size isn't likely to be possible so they'd go for 4.5x4 or there-abouts). Again, limited by price for a rug this size and quality.

No, unfortunately I think the length can be between 8-9m and the width 6-6.7m. Everything else would be disregarded.

We managed to get the larger rug - see photos attached. A difficult but worthwhile project. Didn't find the silk one or hear from the agent again. We may be looking for some 3m2 silk Qom rugs for a potential client soon.

2nd image is their old rug which we got in part exchange. Currently having it restored (personally unsure if that was a good idea).

I agree - may I ask if you do it in your shop or if you have it done out of country? I would only have this done in Iran or Turkey since the damage is all over the rug.

It's in Iran. Far too much work (months) to be viable here. Again, personally I'd have sent it to Turkey. To me it would make more sense to have a Turkish rug repaired in Turkey...
