Did I get ripped off at a liquidation sale?

I bought this rug in Annapolis Maryland at a liquidation sale. There were about 100 other 8x10ish rugs on the floor. The manager claimed they were all 100% wool. The one I selected was originally priced at 3000, and on sale for 800. He offered 650 and I haggled to 520. Now I am afraid that this could be a fake. I have attempted to analyze it per Rug Rag's guidelines but cannot be certain either way. Here is a album with pictures. Let me know if you need any more!

This is a hand Tufted rug (not hand knotted - not "machine made") and most likely wool.
Such rugs can be found in the general price range you paid to well above that with several other factors being in play. (Some wools are a little more expensive, some textures may be a little more, etc.)
Such a rug won't be a family heirloom but you should be able to get 15 - 20 years of good usage from it so $25 or $30 a year seems like a reasonable investment.

As netjim said it is tufted not knotted. We sell machine-made rugs through our Love-Rugs website. You'd normally pay anywhere around £400-1000 for a tufted rug in that size (in wool). So you got it at a pretty decent price considering the pound to dollar conversion the original prices were complete falsehoods.
