Hi -
I recently acquired this from an elderly relative (in no condition to answer questions). Don't know if it belonged to her mother, who was a collector. I'm mainly curious (but need nothing precise or official) about authenticity, type, design, value. It's about 4'x6', not even (square), not symmetrical (centered). It's in great condition, and, to me, very pretty, whatever it is.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Your rug is a handknotted turkish Hereke wool rug, good quality and typical design. Nice piece. Pice for a used Hereke wool rug this size would be about 400 - 500 USD.
