This is an absolutely beautiful piece, at least 80 years old, and just by looking at the picture, I would say this is a Caucasian SHIRVAN and worth keeping. The warp is cotton and the pile is a hand-spun wool with all natural dyes. An amazing piece of artwork. It is interesting to see some people are attracted to these fabrics and the fact that they really do understand them. Your rug may be worth more than you think. Enjoy it.
