Hi all,

I really know nothing about rugs, except that I really liked the look of this one when I bought it at the Long Beach flea market in 2009 for $350. The guy selling it to me told me it was worth way more, but his store in LA went out of business so he was trying to sell off all the remaining stock. He also said it was made in the 1960's. (I think I remember that anyway). I'm curious to see if he was telling the truth and if I should maybe add it to my renter's insurance if it's actually worth more than that. Thanks!

This appears to be a Turkish carpet, not particularly old. Seems like the price you paid was very fair although at a flea market it could have been a little lower. There are not enough photographs to say much more than this,

It's a little bit coarse in weave, but the price still is not bad going by what appears to be 5x8 or so size.

Turkish Milas - fairly commercial grade. Good price if it's new still pretty good/fair price if bought used and second hand.
