Can anyone provide information about this rug from my great-grandfather's home?
All I know is that it was purchased in Denmark around 1940 - maybe earlier. It is quite worn, and has a small but noticable tear.
Help is much appreciated!

Your rug seems to be a reproduction from India using caucasian motives. It is made of wool on a cotton base which is typical for this production. I would not think it is made before the 1960`s.
