Hi there! Newbie here. :)
Now here's the thing... I KNOW this is not an acceptible picture. I will have wonderful pictures on Arpil 2nd, the day I pic this rug up. I just couldn't wait to join and ask questions...even with such a sad picture! Lol!
Now that that's out of the way. :) I am purchasing this rug from a local thrift store. They have been using this rug for the last 1 1/2 years to put carts on...yes, carts. I finally talked her into selling it to me a few days ago for $150. I don't have the exact measurments.. but I'll make a guess that it's around 15ft long and 12ft wide, it's very large. It is wool. It is also pliable, it can be folded pretty flat. The "pile" (newbie here!) is almost non existant. (It's very flat.) The colors are stunning.
The whole rug is covered in squares. (I can't remember what the boarder looks like, or how long the fringe is, of if it ever has any!) Each square has a differant picture, peacock, weeping willows, flowers...so on. I have looked around and have read that this is called a Persian garden rug.
So, is there ANYTHING you can tell me from this sad, sad little glimpes of my future rug? I'm dying to get my hands on it, and I just couldn't wait! I'm sorry to anyone that I might have offended with my pathetic little pic! :(
Look in the mirror behind the mannequin, see the peacock? You may have to blow it up.
Thank you all!
