Hello,

I am new here and I have a unique and large rug that isn't one of the extremely old and beautiful ones but it is unique nonetheless! I don't think it's contemporary, though it very well could be.

It is extremely heavy and feels like it is wool.

I was wondering if anyone could offer any information about it (i.e., possible age, kind, etc.)? I would really appreciate any and all help!

Looks like a wool dhurrie made in India. Not worth a tremendous amount - could use a cleaning too, which affects value depending on if everything comes out. Less than 30 years old, likely more like 15.

Thank you for your reply and info!! I really do appreciate it! It most definitely needs a cleaning - very badly, I might add. That is my goal for today to find someone around here that can do this Pray . I can't wait to put it down! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!!
