Please help me identify and value this rug

Hi there,

I purchased this rug about 15 years ago for £150 GBP. Please could you help me identify this rug and and it's potential value in today's market? The rug also has a metal piece attached to the edge (as can be seen in one of the pictures). I'm guessing this is some sort proof of authenticity for the rug. The rug is also in excellent condition.

I believe this is a kazak style carpet woven in at the time what was the USSR
