I am looking at buying this from a private seller. He claims it is silk. Can someone help identify it for me and give me an idea how much it's worth?

I measured and it's about 670KPI (26 knots per linear inch). The colors are off in the picture because there's direct sunlight on it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
