My friend just received this carpet as a gift and we are poorly educated when it comes to carpets.
What is it?
Could you estimate the retail price in Afghanistan and in a western country? (It would be nice to repay the gift with something that is not insultingly cheep nor embarasingly expensive.)

The pics are a bit low res - the Internet is slow from here.
The carpet is approx 3x5.8 feet.

this is an afghani rug. approximate retail would perhaps be around 300 - 500. market has fluctuated on these a great deal.
