I went and looked at some photos of the Jaldar rugs that you mentioned and did see similarities in the border. The field intrigued me as I was told that people are not often portrayed on tribal rugs (If this is a tribal rug). The guy that ran the antique shop would go to the Iranian border once a week and get rugs. I also purchased a fairly old looking Tekke that was really soft and almost looks to be on a hair foundation. Can post pics of it in a separate post later. I bought the rugs rugs with the intent of keeping them and passing them on to my kids but would love to know as much as possible about them and what their overall value is. Whatever the value, I think I came out well, as I like each rug and only spent a total of 700.00 USD on 4 rugs and sold the one I didn't intend to pass down for 400.00 USD. Right now, this rug is on the floor in my living room, let me know if it is something that should be stored, or if I should put something between it and the hardwood floors.
