Which part of Iran is this rug from? (If actually from Iran?)

Hi everyone.

I am having trouble identifying which part of Iran this rug is from and would really appreciate your suggestions/ if you have come across anything similar (I haven't come across anything similar).

The rug is hand made, and was given to us as a present from Iran about 10 years ago. At the time it was said to be around 20 years old (but not verified). The rug measures 3metres x 2metres. It is stunning in colour and detail, is very soft under the feet and is in very good condition (as you can see from the photos).

I cannot tell which part of Iran it is from, nor its value and would appreciate your help. Maybe its not from Iran and I have been duping myself.
