Bought this rug a year ago .New to rugs ,bought it because
it was nice looking now after reading this site it looks handknotted.
and has a Persian design. That's all i know. 8ft 2in by 11ft 11in

It iis a persian rug. It was made in the city Ardakan, but the design originally comes from the city of Kashan. this is why these rugs are sold as Kashan.

If i am talking about the rug to friends ,do i call it a Kashan , Ardakan or Kashan style Ardakan?
