Hi! I'm wondering if you can help evaluate this for us. We were told this was a Baluch rug (has the made in Iran tag). My wife is upset because we paid $700, which she thinks is way high. We liked the look though. Size is 170cm x 103. thanks! jw

Yes, a Persian Baluch rug, around 40 years old with a cotton foundation and a wool pile. The price you paid for it is a bit too high, but if you like the rug enough, it is worth it. From the images, it looks like you are going to need some restoration work on the fringes soon.
