My Grandmother just passed away and we found this rug at her home. It has a tag on the back of it that says Islamic Republic of Iran. It is approx 7' x 4'4''.

From this photo can someone help give some identification as to rug type and possibly approx value. I know very little about rugs.

It is a iranian Mey-Meh rug, seems to be quite good quality. These rugs have a very typical pattern that is only made in this rug type. It seems to be an older rug since it was reduced. The blue border is missing on top of the foto. These rugs sell somewhere around 400 - 500 USD retail.

This is a Persian Joushaghan rug, actually a lower quality of Meymeh rugs as KAD stated. These are durable rugs with a relatively low KPSI, and for the size, this rug is worth around $500-$600 if there are no repairs or worn spots.
