I'm in Afghanistan and am looking to purchase a Persian rug. I'm currently looking at four rugs and trying to determine a little beyond which one looks best. I personally like a couple of the rugs and am hoping to find information about which rug might have a more unique story behind it, is more rare, or simply is financially worth more.

I don't have any doubt that they are real Qum carpets as the rug dealer has a long and reliable history of selling exactly what he says he has. From Kashmir to Qum he has them all and I've spent my share of time reading about how to identify the real thing, not to say I have any worthwhile experience purchasing I normally just window shop, study, and continue to try and learn more and more about the rugs meanings and story before I make my big purchase. I would like to know as much as I can about the shapes, patterns, and colors.

Hopefully someone here can tell me a little more about these rugs and maybe what they believe they're worth as I have not gone to the bargaining table yet. I don't have the KNPSI info, but I'm sure the KNPSI is plenty.

Thanks for any help and knowledge transfer!

I know the photos aren't great, but they're what I have at this point in time.
