I have just purchased a rug from craigslist and know nothing about it. I am wondering if it is worth repairing/ cleaning. Also any info that you have would be very welcome. I plan to put this in my old home.
Overall the rug is very needing of a good wash. What is the best way to clean this? The fringe is worn in places, binding is good, except the ends seem to be unraveling slightly. I did find a 1" X 2" inch tear that would be easily repaired.

This is a machine made rug (most probably Indian) and not worth much. As for cleaning, a professional wash would be your best choice. Find a local dealer that does washing. Also, the repair work is going to cost, and it is all up to you whether or not you want to spend money on this rug.
