Identification and etimated value. I am thinking on bying this rug. I was told it is a Ghom/Qum - silk on silk with dome pattern. The seller can not identify the signature, and i do not read arabic. The seller ask $2000 for it. Is the price to high ? Could anyone help with advice. The size is 1,20m x .90m or (48x35 inch) Thank you https://picasaweb.google...882014080/13November2011jorgen attached the following image(s):

Sorry I did not see the attached files at first. This is a Persian Quom with silk warp, cotton weft, not the top of the line as far as the quality goes, but still a good looking piece. The signature reads: IRAN-Quom-Razavi, and this is not a very famous signature on Quom carpets. The price is reasonable but not a bargain. So it all comes down to how much you like the pattern and the colors in this rug. Good luck.
