Hello everybody,
I found this yomud asmalyk carpet in an old house.
Could you give me more information about it.. wich period? Estimation price?
I found a picture on a website (Thomas Cole , carpets of central asia fig 8) of a carpet that seems like mine.
The size is 128 x 77 cm

I think this is a Persian Turkeman, about 60 years old, and with all the decoration around it, this is perhaps a small piece used as a hanging over the entrance to a yurt (tent). I would estimate that this piece is worth around $400-450, maybe more to someone who might be interested in such odd pieces and would collect them.
