It's a big rug 10X17 that is hard for me to walk past since I can't help, but stop and look at the detail However, I don't know the age or the type. If anyone can be of help it would be appreciated

A beautiful, old Persian Sarouk, possibly a "Mohajeran". If it has no repairs or worn spots on the pile, I recommend you go ahead and buy it. Personally, I like this rug very much.

I forgot to include that I think this rug is 60-70 years old.

Thank you very much for the insight. The rug is mine so it's not a purchase question. just a "what do I have", and now I know when others ask. Originally I purchased it for $1,500 and a good surface wash made a world of difference.
