Hello,

I just purchased what was listed as a Traditional Tabriz Persian rug, approx. 6X9, on eBay. I paid $425.

The rug is supposedly 30-35 years old, hand knotted, and looks to be in very good condition from the photos (no rips, doesn't look like any very notable pile wear).

Here is the link, scroll down for various pictures:

Does this seem like a good deal, or at least a reasonable deal?

I have a smaller Persian rug that I bought some years ago (wool and silk) at a store, but this was my first time buying a rug on eBay. I like the look of this rug and I hope I made a wise purchase!

Thanks so much for any information you can help with.

Rug looks good so far, seems to be in good condition. Selvedge and fringes look good - good rug, good price.

This is a 30 raj Persian Tabriz with cotton foundation, wool pile and synthetic dyes. It is of a commercial grade, nothing fancy, price is reasonable.

Thanks KAD and Rugfirm! I knew I probably wasn't getting an extraordinary rug, but that's ok with me. I just wanted a hand knotted Persian rug in good condition. Hopefully the rug will be in the shape they say it is in...we'll see when it arrives.

Thanks again for your help.
