My grandfather was one of Pakistan's foremost rug exporters and I have this antique persian from his collection which family lore has it is a very rare and valuable piece that was made by a master weaver (there is a signature woven into the wool that reads Abdul Kareem Feroze) in the islamic year 1300 (also woven into the rug) which is 1882 AD.So this is 130 years old and the design to me looks very different from what I have seen.

So what I am looking to find out is:

- Does any one know anything about this weaver named Abdul Kareem Feroze? Is he famous?
- How rare is this piece?
- Is it a lavar kerman?
- How much is it worth?
- How and where shall I sell it (i live in Pennsylvania)?

pictures are all at this site: http://photobucket.com/kerman

From the colors and the photo from the back side, it does not look like a Kerman to me. The signature is not from a well known weaver, and the rug seems to have damages around the edge. Better images would certainly help.
