Last winter I purchased this rug, used, from a shop where it was lying on the floor with a price tag attached. Upon turning it over I saw that it appeared to be a hand-knotted rug, and the label said "Iran" on it, nothing more. Since I liked the rug, I bought it...and failed to take a picture of the entire rug. That was my first mistake. My second was leaving it on the floor of our home while we left for the summer--because two weeks ago a pipe burst and flooded the entire house, and now the dyes have run and the rug is toast. I would really appreciate it if you knowledgeable people could help me out by looking at the attached photo (of my cat lounging on the dog's bed, which happens to show a portion of the rug)and giving me an idea of where the rug came from, what pattern it is, etc. Other things you may find helpful are
Dimensions: 6'7"x9'9"
Colors: Red, orange, cream, black, and blue
Pile: low but even
Any and all help appreciated; just don't tell me what a dolt I am, as I already know it!!!
Thanks!
