Hello. My husband and I acquired this rug, and a smaller one like it, about 5 years ago. It was given to us by an elderly couple who were moving away and didn't want to take it with them. We are keeping the smaller rug, but the larger one must go. Unfortunately, through various internet searches, I cannot find another that looks like it to determine its origin or value. Further, there are no labels on either rug. I believe it is wool, though I'm not sure, and it has a very nice pattern to it. It reminds me of rugs I used to see in the homes of elderly neighbors and relatives when I was a child, about 30-40 years ago, but I have no idea if it is an older rug or a newer reproduction. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A couple other questions. Would this likely be made of wool or some other material? I'd like to know, so that I can represent it properly when it comes time to sell it.

Also, when you say, "not really worth much," would you be able to put an actual dollar value on the rug? Not much to you could be a lot to me!

That helps a lot. Thank you. This rug is about 10' x 12' if I recall correctly, so it sounds like we're in that couple hundred-ish range. It appears to be a beautiful, well-made rug, just stylistically dated. If we had the right space we'd keep it, and we're definitely keeping the smaller one we have. Thanks again!
